HISTORY

Our History

1837

–   On March 1st, Fr.Moreau united the Priest whom he had gathered under him and  the Brother of  St.Joseph by the fundamental  act, which marks the foundation  of the congregation of Holy Cross.

1852

 – Holy Cross brothers, sisters and priests reached Dhaka in Bangla.

1960

 –Three Candian  Brothers Godfrey Danes,Louis Leduc and Donald Nadeau  Established the Holy Cross brothers in Salem TN.

1976

 – Abhayadhama Human Development was started by Brother, Jean Paul Pearson on  4th March 1976,at St. Mark’s Road,Bengaluru for the street children for training in Welding,  Carpentry ,Tailoring.

1977

– Abhayadhama Human Development Centre was shifted to Whitefield on a sprawling Campus.

2001

 –  St. Joseph’s English Medium school was started with 31 girls and 34 boys with the total of 65 students  as the first batch of  8th standard.

 2007

 – St. Joseph’s English Medium school is renamed as Holy Cross School, Whitefield, Bengaluru.

 2011

 – Holy Cross PU College was started with three different Department. PCMB, PCMCAnd CEBA.

2020

 –  Holy Cross School was upgraded from High School to Higher Secondary with streams of  PCMB,PCMC  And CEBA in the CBSE section.

1820

 –At Roville Sur Loire,Ye Mans Diocese,France  Fr.JacDujarie founded the Brothers  of   St.Joseph.
